If you screw up or it doesnt work simply add Google from more search providers and set as default and delete this one you made and you can go back to how it was before. This fixes my problem and now whenever I search on google from Internet Explorer I dont see the dreaded language pages and search in English and it doesnt display anything else. With Fluent, we can set a fallback chain, for example Ligurian->Italian->English. With the old technology, if a translation is missing it can only fall back to English. Firefox would support a list of fallback locales. Keep Character Encoding as whatever appears and save it. Language switching would be completely restartless. Ok now in find more search providers page there is a link which is Create Your Own Providerīy clicking on it you see three fields which is URL, name and encoding. If you havent added more than google then you should at least one more temporarily that is by clicking on Finding more providers and choose for instance Yahoo Search and set it as default and then you can delete Google. On the search field in Internet Explorer click on Manage Search Providers and delete all names of google. English (United Kingdom) and add it to the existing list. Click Add and find your location specific language e.g. Under Language, click on Language and input settings. Go to Chrome Options (3 vertical pips in the top right hand corner) Choose Settings. I think I can solve this problem for at least the default search in Internet Explorer 8. To change the option to a standard DD/MM/YYYY.
